To create a digital platform that stood out and spoke out to the people of the North East and provide relevant guidance in an engaging and visually exciting style.
We needed to act, and act quickly. Using the full range of services across the agency, we effectively gathered insight into the problem, drawn from real people and real experiences. We used this knowledge to formulate the plan, for not only the website, but to align the entire communications strategy.
In just over a month we turned around the BeatCovidNE project, delivering live statistics on Covid directly from the source, ensuring the people of the North East felt educated, supported and most importantly, loved.
Partnering with local artists allowed us to communicate in an unorthodox and creative style, breaking through the authoritarian tone of typical national communications and adding a positive feeling to the messages.
The flexibility of Umbraco ensured amendments to the website aligned with the latest updates on COVID. More recently, we set up the Community Award pages. This included a Nomination Form, Meet the Judges and other information surrounding the awards. Built-in integrations of Umbraco meant we could adapt quickly and build templated functionality in a short turnaround.
