This month saw the opening of two new Greggs shops, giving customers a warm welcome in the arrival halls of Liverpool John Lennon Airport and Birmingham Airport.
Greggs asked us to produce some ‘in-flight’ meal boxes that they could send to journalists and influencers. The aim was to celebrate the launch and highlight that Greggs is the perfect food-on-the-go, whether you’re touching down or taking off.
In a very Greggs style, each box included a tongue-in-cheek laminated ‘safety card’ that provides a step-by-step guide of how to enjoy an in-flight Sausage Roll.
Fitting perfectly into the top of the box, was a ‘rewarding pass’, with flight number GR1939, (representing the year Greggs was founded), and destination that every customer is familiar with: ‘Tasty’. A QR code encouraged box recipients to download the Greggs App where they could receive even more rewards.
Last, but certainly not least, was the delicious food found in the base compartment of the tin. Forget foil lids, ready meals and bread rolls, and fasten your tastebuds for some mouthwatering Greggs bakes and tasty sweet treats.
For those of us in the North East, nothing says ‘welcome home’ more than a Greggs, so we’re delighted that travellers touching down in Liverpool and Birmingham will get a little flavour of that feeling too.
