Getting out to help out

As an agency, we dedicate a minimum of one day a year per employee to help out in the community. And for the second year on the trot, we’ve been volunteering some time at St Oswald’s Hospice in Gosforth.

St Oswald’s Hospice does amazing work, providing outstanding specialist care to adults and children with life-limiting conditions – so we were more than happy to help them spruce up their outdoor spaces in time for summer.

We’ve gardened, weeded, scraped, jet-washed, shifted, sanded, painted, varnished, and got nettle stings in the most unlikely of places. And as well as spending some quality time out of the office with our workmates, it’s been a massively rewarding experience. Just knowing that we’ve made their gardens look that little bit better for patients, staff and visitors makes us feel hugely proud to be involved.
