Inside bet365's global campaign this World Cup
29/07/2026
This summer, bet365 wanted to show up big for the world's biggest football tournament, one that ended with Spain lifting their second World Cup title. There was just one catch: without official partnership status, bet365 couldn't say "World Cup," use FIFA iconography, or touch the tournament's own branding, a rule plenty of brands wrestled with this year (cue that viral moment at the Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara).
So bet365 built its own World Cup instead.
Across eight territories, Australia, Brazil, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Spain, the UK and newly-licensed France, we built a campaign spanning TVC, idents, OOH, radio, L-frames and web takeovers, one that had to work two ways at once. It needed to flex market by market, speaking to whatever each territory's team was pushing, whether that was Early Payout, Super Boost, or a brand-new product called Matchday Reveal. And it needed to hold together as one unmistakable bet365 moment, wherever in the world you saw it.
Matchday Reveal was the real challenge. A product with zero existing creative, launching cold, in the middle of the biggest sporting event on the planet. Working with bet365, we built its identity from scratch, giving it the energy the moment demanded and the premium polish bet365 audiences expect.
The answer was to build a visual identity entirely bet365's own. The team developed a bespoke World Cup-themed logo, repurposing the shapes and colours from bet365's existing brand world to echo the geometry and vibrancy of the tournament itself, paired with the line "this summer's tournament" to make the connection unmistakable without ever making the claim.
For the Brazil market, that meant bringing in UEFA Champions League winner and Brazil national team stalwart Julio Cesar alongside presenters from CazeTV, fronting two bespoke ads built for TV and digital.
Behind the scenes, it took serious scale to pull off: over 700 individual OOH assets across print, digital and motion, more than 15 radio ads, 146 social video cuts across five territories, and 10 TVCs translated and voiced across eight countries, five languages and seven separate voiceover sessions. We worked alongside Academy Films and Cactus on production, Runamok on audio, Republic of Media, Tag and BETC HAVAS, keeping every territory distinct while never losing sight of the one campaign underneath.
