Setting sail in a new style

DFDS is one of northern Europe’s biggest ferry operators, running eight passenger routes, including the popular two-night Newcastle to Amsterdam mini cruise.

The brief

We were asked to give the DFDS TV creative a fresh look and feel and compel our audience to book their next mini cruise .

Our approach

We brought the breadth of the on-board facilities to life, and showcased a jam-packed mini cruise with plenty to do for people of all ages. It’s a trip like no other, and it’s not just about the destination – your experience starts as soon as you step on board.

What we delivered

We created a fast-paced TV ad that followed three very different groups of mini-cruisers, proving there’s something to enjoy for everyone. We shot the whole thing close to the action, with a mix of hand-held footage styles, to show just what it's like on an exciting mini cruise. Using stunning cinematography and a poetic voice-over, it showed our audience the wide range of experiences and activities available on an unforgettable DFDS mini cruise. There’s so much to do on the ferry itself, and that’s what makes it unique – all you need to do is say ‘yes’.
