The financial comparison market is very noisy and very cramped. So we had to develop a brand that would be impossible to miss. By way of a bearded, blingy Guru character in purple satin robes, we launched a brand to help people master their money and experience financial enlightenment. Recently named the UK’s fastest growing comparison site, our launch strategy delivered a 33% lift in brand awareness.

The brief

Turn heads in a complex and crowded marketplace, and create content that cuts through the big-name, big-spending competition. Generate interest, brand awareness, and make sure everyone remembers the Guru.

Our approach

As a full-service agency, we drove the whole campaign. We created a brand identity, digital marketing, a full social content strategy, and a direct response TV campaign that generated over 30% of the total website visits while on air. Through our ‘Meet the Comparison Master’ concept, we built a fully integrated campaign that delivered across all channels.

Working closely with the Money Guru team, we led on all aspects of the brand creation, launch and implementation. This included UX design, website launch, TV content, social explainer videos, an internal launch piece, and extensive OOH activity. We also devised a social content strategy to cement the brand in the hearts and minds of consumers.

The result

Our integrated brand launch boosted awareness by 33%. Money Guru is now the fastest-growing comparison website in the UK, and since the launch, website traffic has more than tripled to over 1 million+ unique visits.
