That we talk about Men’s Pie Club. So what’s it all about? Well, there’s pies. But mostly, it’s about tackling social isolation and improving the mental health of men in the Newcastle area.
3 out of 4 suicides in the UK are by men. Social isolation, depression and loneliness are just some of the causes that lead to men taking their own lives. Here in Newcastle, Men’s Pie Club is tackling this problem by offering a place where men can get stuff off their chest and put something in their belly. Set up by Newcastle-based social enterprise, Food Nation, and backed by the Movember Foundation, Men’s Pie Club’s goal is to help guys make friends and connections, at a time when social isolation is one of the biggest causes of depression in men.
A cause as good as this needs the brand to go with it. So, during lockdown last year, Drummond Central have been getting stuck into refreshing the branding for the Pie Club team, creating a tasty new identity across everything from pie packaging to the website.
